Oct 1, 2020 · The BRN-180 Gen 2 Upper brings all the history of the AR-180 and modernizes it. Utterly reliable and fun to shoot, however, you might have some troubles upgrading it besides optics and muzzle device. Accuracy also varies between excellent to standard AR-15. As a history dork, I love this upper.

Haven’t gotten to shoot it yet, but I can point out two things about the Scy already: It’s a pain to assemble. The magwell doesn’t allow for PMAG’s. The trigger pull weight on the bullpup trigger bow varies from 3.8-4.4 lbs depending on pull location along the trigger bow. There is a small amount of take-up to a wall and then the trigger will break. The bullpup trigger is overall good being only slightly worse than pulling from the original trigger bow. It is better than a MDRX trigger.

It looks kinda cool, but since it still has the same stock and buffer tube it’s really not any shorter than adjusting the stock to its shortest position. All it’s really doing is moving the trigger and hand placement. All of the bullpup bullshit, none of the few bullpup positives. That’s still a short barrel.The plastic enclosure makes the completed bullpup lower one piece. It secures as normal with the two pins but also has a securing mount at the front that attaches to the forward grip. The (cut-down) original old grip of the 'rear' lower group is the internal support for the (now) butt stock. ...
